The pressure wasn't external only — it had become internal, loud, and relentless. She recognised early that 'productivity problems' were almost always emotional ones in disguise.
When a student told me he couldn't start a single assignment despite wanting to, I stopped treating it as laziness and started listening to what the block was protecting.
